Made in the classical ways of the English Victorian bone and ivory turners of the nineteenth century, this set is hand turned from Alternative Ivory and Cow Horn. Alternative Ivory is a man-made material which resembles true ivory in every way, but without harming elephants. It is very nearly identical in weight, appearance and feel to real ivory. Not just plastic, this material is imported from Italy where it is made of crushed bone and resins. Alternative Ivory is used for modern piano keys, fashion buttons and extra special gift items. Our raw alternative ivory stock is purchased directly from the importers.
No two sets are identical. Exquisite in use; the feel is unmatched in quality and balance. Each piece in these sets is measured and cut, then fitted together permanently - one piece at a time. After shaping on the lathe to a gentle eye and hand pleasing contour, the material is polished and buffed to final finish. Upon completion, each set is dated and permanently engraved with Tim's distinctive monogram to assure authenticity
This King Set is oversized, with both the brush and the razor measuring approximately 6-inches overall length for each part. A real man's set - the perfect gift which will last a lifetime. The brush body measures nearly 1 3/8-inches in diameter, with the largest diameter on the razor handle beging just under 3/4-inches. Brush bristles are pure Badger - the finest available. Uses standard Gillette Atra blades available at most markets and online.
